LOCAL CONNECTIVITY

A network that starts in the field.

Wi-Fi HaLow mesh is the local communications foundation, with external backhaul being developed as a separate layer.

Two-node prototype

Project work includes a two-node HaLow prototype with a station link and signal readings observed. This is evidence of a working link, not a validated range or throughput specification.

Topology and deployment

Portable nodes, fixed relay positions and gateway nodes are deployment concepts. Terrain, antennas, interference and the number of hops affect usable performance; field validation remains part of the programme.

Traffic on the mesh

Voice, ATAK data, telemetry and selected IP traffic are integration targets. Video is a bandwidth-sensitive use case and must be evaluated against the available capacity, especially over multiple hops.

Backhaul is an extension

A gateway is intended to join the local mesh to Raptor-operated remote connectivity using an available IP connection. When that connection is lost, remote reach is unavailable; local operation is designed to remain independent.
