VOICE INTEGRATION
From channel selection to push-to-talk.
A shared voice workflow for the node, ATAK interface and future radio bridge.
In developmentDevelopment evidence
Logs show five talkgroups, PTT activity through the web RPC interface and an initial received audio frame. These checks do not establish complete, end-to-end RF transmit and receive operation.
Channel behaviour
The intended workflow selects a channel for both transmit and receive, with optional receive monitoring of other channels. PTT should transmit on the selected channel; displayed channel names should come from the node.
Conventional radio bridge
A USB audio interface and compatible radio PTT control are being explored to bridge network voice with a conventional radio. Audio levels, isolation, timing and radio compatibility need hardware validation.
Operator controls
Headset PTT, a main-unit control and separate or combined network/radio PTT are planned options. Microphone input requires an appropriate audio input device; a headphone output is not a microphone input.
Validation ahead
Repeatable two-way audio, PTT release behaviour, disconnect recovery, channel monitoring and feedback between controls and real runtime state remain integration and test priorities.
