ON-DEVICE EXPERIENCE
Useful information. At a glance.
A compact display designed around the operator’s channel, connectivity and real transmit/receive state.
In developmentProgress so far
Development logs show the Raptor OLED initializing at I²C address 0x3C. A boot splash and a short delay before “POWERING UP…” were added. Code checks passed in that attempt, but a packaging integration step failed.
Planned status layout
The intended screen includes signal strength, peers, measured battery status, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth state and the active channel name. Indicators should reflect actual system state, not fixed demonstration values.
Transmit and receive
TX and RX should follow node runtime activity. Channel names should be shared with the ATAK plugin so the physical device and phone show the same selection.
Configuration
Rotation, brightness and selectable fields are planned controls. Battery percentages require a real measurement path; external power alone must not be represented as a full battery.
