RAPTOR COMMS

The node, inside your ATAK workflow.

A dedicated Raptor Comms plugin is in development to connect channel control and voice operation with the field map interface.

In development
01

What has been observed

Development logs show Raptor Comms being parsed and loaded in ATAK 5.8.0. A preferences-file creation failure was also recorded, so this is a loading milestone—not a completed release or a compatibility certification.

02

Node-authoritative channels

The intended plugin reads channel names and operational state from the node. Selecting a channel should align transmit and receive, while optional monitoring allows other channels to be heard.

03

Voice and PTT

Phone microphone and speaker use, PTT control and clear transmit/receive feedback are part of the integration work. The interface should reflect actual node state rather than only the last button pressed.

04

Connection awareness

Node detection, connection status, reconnection and handling a lost link are development goals. A disconnected plugin must not present a successful transmission.

05

Release readiness

Plugin builds must be matched to the intended ATAK version. Installation, permissions, settings persistence, audio routing and full two-way operation require repeatable tests before a supported release can be claimed.

THE COMPLETE PICTURE

Progress, without the guesswork.
